ロンドン自然史博物館とBBCが主催し、毎年開催されている『 Wildlife Photographer of the Year 』。厳しい自然の中で暮らす動物たちの姿をカメラに収める野生動物写真家の中でも、その年で一番活躍した写真家を決めるWildlife Photographer of the Yearの結果が、ウェブサイトに公開されていましたのでその一部をご紹介します。

Wildlife Photographer of the Yearは1965年以降毎年開催され、今年で49回目になります。4万点を超える応募の中から選ばれた写真たちは、幻想的なものや可愛らしいものなど、どれも素晴らしいものばかりです。厳しい自然の中に息づいている命を美しく切り取る受賞者の方たちのセンスや技術は、やはり目を見張るものがあります。

日本で普通に生活しているだけでは、なかなかお目に掛かれない野生動物たちの姿を是非ご覧ください。
